This is a Peruvian Blackware amphora shaped Pottery Oil Vessel, Chimu Culture, Peru, c.900 A.D. Provenance: excavated from a sand grave at Paracas (100 miles south of Lima), Peru, May 1978 with its original label. The artefact is in fine condition, some chipping to the rim and measures 110mm tall x 65mm across the handles.
