This is a Pre-Columbian Terracotta Tripod Bowl from the Carchi Culture, Ecuador, c. 800 - 1500 A.D. A broad terracotta shallow bowl with a rounded base, three looped feet, a rounded rim and a red burnish to the body. Provenance: From the Zuckerman Collection, collected in Quito, Ecuador in the early 1970s by her grandparents and passed down by decent. The artefact is in very fine condition (repair to one of the feet) and measures 82mm tall x 187mm in diameter.
