This is a pre-Columbian Terracotta Bowl from the Carchi Culture, Ecuador, c. 800 - 1500 A.D. A terracotta bowl with a rounded base, a flared rim and an incised linear white decoration to the body. Provenance: From the Zuckerman Collection, collected in Quito, Ecuador in the early 1970s by her grandparents and passed down by decent. The artefact is in very fine condition (small hole in the base) and measures 85mm tall x 126mm in diameter.
