This is a Pre-Columbian Ceramic Bowl, Carchi Culture, c. 800 - 1500 A.D. A bowl with a flared rim, small strap handle, decorated with a red chevron design and a rounded base. Provenance: From the Zuckerman Collection, collected in Quito, Ecuador in the early 1970s by her grandparents and passed down by decent. Although the artefact has some chips to the rim and cracks to the base, it is in good condition and measures 65mm tall x 110mm in diameter.
