This is a Pre-Columbian Costa Rica Pottery Vessel, c. 700 - 900 A.D. A flat-bottomed red clay vessel with shallow flutes, curved body, rolled rim with traces of a dark band running around the body. Provenance: from an old Carmarthen Collection acquired prior to 1930. The bowl has been repaired, piece missing from the rim plus a chip to the rim. The artefact measures 94mm tall x 173mm diameter.
