This is a Pre-Columbian Mayan Grooved Axe Head found in the Guatemala Highlands, c. 250 - 700 A.D. A well formed pecked and ground black granite axe head. Provenance: from the collection of William Leazer and William Swann, Dallas, Texas. The artefact is in very fine condition, weighs 332gms and measures 76mm long.
