This is a Pre-Columbian Mayan Stone Celt found in the Guatemala Highlands, c. 250 - 700 A.D. Nicely formed pecked, ground and polished dark green stone celt with a narrow straight cutting edge and a rounded butt. Provenance: from the collection of William Leazer and William Swann, Dallas, Texas. The artefact is in very fine condition and measures 96mm long.
