This is a Pre-Columbian Chancay Textile Fragment, c.1000 to 1470 A.D. A framed textile fragment representing a seated priest figure holding a bird over a pot on a scarlet oval device stitched to a plain-woven fabric. Provenance: from an old German Collection. The artefact is in fine condition and measures 83mm x 70mm (frame size is 240mm x 210mm).
