Pre-Columbian Costa Rica Pottery Vessel, c. 700 - 900 A.D. A curved-bottomed red clay vessel with shallow fluted straight sides, two small projected handles from the rim with a trace of a dark red band running around the body. Provenance: from an old Carmarthen Collection acquired prior to 1930. The bowl was split into three pieces and repaired. The bowl is now complete and measures 137mm tall x 162mm diameter (across the small handles).
