This is a Pre Columbian Chiriqui Tripod Vessel Rattle Bowl Pottery from the Chiriqui Region of Panama, 1000 - 1250 A.D. A shallow Tripod Bowl in Tarrago Bisquit Ceramic with traces of red paint and standing on a trio of mammiform legs. Provenance: from an old Carmarthen Collection acquired prior to 1930. The bowl is complete but, has been repaired, has only one rattle working and chips to the rim. The artefact measures 96mm tall x 222mm diameter.
