This is a Pre-Columbian Chiriqui Culture Ceramic Pedestal Bowl from Panama, c.1000-1500 A.D. A broad bowl with flared pedestal base and traced of red paint. From the private collection of a German gentleman; acquired prior to 1982. The pedestal base has some chipping, but otherwise the artefact is in fine condition measuring 83mm tall x 194mm diameter.
