This is a Roman Glass Perfume Oil Phial, c. 2nd century A.D. A translucent green/blue glass bottle with a long funicular neck and a flared rim; the neck develops into the tubular body which has a short bulb, narrow, flattened base and an iridescent surface. Provenance: from an old Dorset collection. The artefact is complete, in very fine condition and measures 105mm tall.
