This is a very attractive light brown jasper uni-faced stemmed (hafted) Archaic Hide Scraper (4500 to 2000 BC) with tannic river staining on the reverse. The artefact comes from an ancient site in Deer Lodge County, Southern Montana (adjacent to Sliver Bow County). This is a very pretty piece and measures 46mm x 25mm.
