This is a Neolithic Flake Axe made from Blue Grey Flint. Rough flaked but a nice colour and iron patina; a very attractive piece with some partial polishing. This artefact dates from the Funnel Beaker Culture II (Passage Grave Culture 3,400-2,800 B.C.) The axe measures 94mm x 43mm and is from South Copenhagen, Denmark. Ex-old collection.
