This is a carefully knapped Neolithic Danish thin-butted lightly polished Axehead, 5th-3rd millennium B.C. A finely knapped mottled grey trapezoidal flint axe with sheer sides and butt and a mainly sharp convex cutting edge. Provenance: From the family collection of a South East London collector; formerly acquired in the late 1950s. The artefact is in fine condition and measures 110mm long.
