This is a Chinese bronze statuette of Quan Yin, 19th century. A bronze statuette of Quan Yin seated in a meditative posture on a lotus throne holding a small flask. Born of the Lotus, Quan Yin, alone among Buddhist gods, is loved rather than feared and is the model of Chinese beauty. Provenance: From an old Surrey private collection. The artefact is in very fine condition and measures 97mm tall.
