This is a bronze sword from the Warring States period in ancient China, c. 475-221 B.C. A bronze sword (possibly Quin or Han Dynasty) having a long tapered, double edged blade with central raised blood ridge a hand grip with two ring grips and disc pommel. The overall patina is a deep green and is intact with no repair or restoration. Provenance: from an old Hampshire Archaeological Collection. The artefact is in fine condition (unrestored condition) and measures 545mm long.
