This is a Japanese Meiji Period Carved sectional ivory Okimono, 19th Century. A male seated figure holding a plate of food in one hand and offering a piece from the plate in the other. Provenance: From an old Shaftesbury Oriental collection. The artefact is complete, in very fine condition, displayed on a wooden stand and measures 118mm tall x 85mm wide x 58mm deep.
