This is a Terracotta Mother and Child, Indonesia, Java, Majapahit Empire, c. 13th-14th century A.D. A mould-formed terracotta woman shown kneeling, a tight-fitting skirt and holding a child. Provenance: from the Mary & Peter White Collection. The artefact is in good condition (mother’s head missing) and measures 95mm tall.
