This is a Lower Palaeolithic, Middle Acheulian (Homo erectus) grey flint triangular borer/scraper, c.300,000 to 200,000 B.C. The artefact comes from Low Farm, Keswick, SW Norwich, UK. Literature: ‘Palaeolithic Sites of East Anglia’, J.Wymer, 1985, Geo Books, Norwich. There are no alterations, restorations or modern re-chipping. Provenance: Ex Henry Dewey (1876-1965) Collection began in 1912. The tool measures 105mm x 84mm wide x 16mm thick and is in perfect condition.
